ARNOLD, Mo. (KMOV) – The city of Arnold, Missouri will keep its red light cameras after the city council voted to renew its contract with the camera company.
The new deal also authorizes a collection agency to collect unpaid fines over the last couple of years.
Supporters of the decision say the cameras are about safety while opponents say it's all about collecting money.
It is estimated that the five red light cameras generate nearly $1.8 million a year for the city of Arnold.
