JENNINGS, Mo. (KMOV) – Two men in their early 20s were shot to death during a domestic dispute in Jennings.

It happened around 1:45 a.m. on Thursday at the Jennings Gardens apartment complex in the 5700 block of Acme. The victims have been identified as Richard Rancher and Dwaune Harris, both 22 years old.

Neighbors called police to the scene after hearing gunshots.

According to St. Louis County police, a man went to an apartment where a woman lived with her one-year old child. The woman's boyfriend was also at the apartment. The two men got into an argument and ended up shooting each other to death in the entry way to the apartment.

Neighbor Hazel Rogers says she was surprised to hear about the double shooting because crime has been down in her neighborhood since St. Louis County Police took over the Jennings Police Department a couple of months ago.

She says she sees officers patrolling the neighborhood day and night.
