School sex offenders prompt new legislation

(KMOV) – A bill may soon pass into in Missouri that would require the Division of Children and Family Services to keep track of teachers, coaches and other school staff members that have been accused of sexual assault.

The information would be passed along to all public school districts.

The “Teachers Sexual Misconduct” bill also says that the districts have only 24 hours to report all allegations accusing a teacher, coach, administrator or other school staff of a sexual assault.
