(KMOV) – Police are still searching for the suspect who opened fire Wednesday afternoon in a north St. Louis County neighborhood.

The incident happened around 2:45p.m. in the 10500 block of Lord.

According to officials, the suspect ran one block over from the crime scene into someone’s home. A SWAT team surrounded the house, where the gunman reportedly stole a cell phone and fled.

Police say one person was shot in the shoulder during the standoff, and that it all reportedly started over a game of dice.

A vehicle was also punctured by bullets, and shell casings covered the street.

Authorities closed off the nearby neighborhood of Castle Point to try and locate the suspect.

The victim was transported to the hospital.
