St. Louis (KMOV) – Federal and local authorities say they have arrested a suspect in a frenzy of bank robberies dating back to last August.
Timothy Shaw, 37, was tracked down and arrested without incident at a hotel in St. Louis.
The arrest was the result of the investigative efforts of the FBI, St. Louis County and city police.
Shaw has been charged with the robbery of the Montgomery Bank in the 3800 block of Union in St. Louis County on Monday.
Investigators say an alert witness gave police a good description of the getaway vehicle. That vehicle was spotted yesterday and Shaw was arrested this morning.
Authorities believe Shaw is responsible for as many as ten other robberies including:

Regions Bank at 3547 Hampton Avenue in St. Louis on 2-22-11

Southern Commercial Bank at 6969 S. Lindbergh in St. Louis 1-12-11
First Bank at 2909 Telegraph in St. Louis County on 12-06-10
Southern Commercial Bank at 3207 Meramec Street in St. Louis on 10-20-10
Vantage Credit Union at 4545 Lemay Ferry in St. Louis County on 10-2-10
Southern Commercial Bank at 3207 Meramec Street in St. Louis on 9-15-10
First Bank at 2909 Telegraph in St. Louis County on 8-27-10
