COLLINSVILLE, Ill. (KMOV) – The Collinsville school board approved the $1.3 million project to add a new athletic complex.
The board voted six to one to add a turf field along with a new track, scoreboards, bleachers and a public address system.
The money will come from the maintenance budget which has $3.9 million to spend on building and maintenance. Other projects include replacing roofs on two schools in the school district and replacing the 40-year-old lockers in the high school.
The district says no other projects will go unfunded due to the athletic complex project.
