OAKVILLE, Mo. (AP) -- Heroin deaths are on the rise across the country, and St. Louis County authorities say the drug is a growing concern in the St. Louis region.
As evidence, the county police have had to move this month's community meeting about heroin to a larger venue due to strong interest from the public. A meeting originally scheduled for Aug. 11 at the South County Health Clinic will now be Aug. 29 at Oakville High School.
Officials say huge attendance at two previous town hall meetings prompted the switch.
