ST. LOUIS – Two lanes of southbound Interstate 270 will be closed this weekend, weather permitting.

The Missouri Department of Transportation and its contractor Millstone Bangert will conduct lane closures on southbound I-270 between I-44 and Gravois Road (Route 30) for bridge rehabilitation. All ramps at I-270/I-44 interchange will remain open.

One lane of southbound I-270 will close at 8 p.m. Friday, July 29. A second lane of southbound I-270 will close at 9 p.m. Friday. All lanes of southbound I-270 will reopen by 5 a.m. Monday, August 1.

During the weekend lane closures on southbound I-270, motorists are advised to use Route 141 or Lindbergh Boulevard (Route 61/67) as alternatives.

Starting Monday, August 1, all lanes will be shifted to the right. All lanes will be narrowed to 11 feet. The work zone speed limit will be 45 miles per hour.

This work is part of the I-270 rehabilitation projects on the northbound and southbound I-270 bridges over Rott Road and the I-270 bridges over I-44.
