CAHOKIA, Ill. (AP) -- A second suspect who'd been sought for months in the shooting death of an 18-year-old Cahokia man is now in jail.
Federal marshals and East St. Louis police captured 20-year-old Allen Holloway III on Friday after finding him hiding in a closet in an apartment in his hometown.
Prosecutors in southwestern Illinois charged Holloway on Saturday with first-degree murder in the July 30 killing of Jarius Nicholson. A witness has said an assailant drove up to a house where Nicholson and others were sitting on a porch and opened fire.
Prosecutors already had charged a 25-year-old Cahokia man.
Holloway is jailed in St. Clair County on $1.5 million bond.
Online court records do not show whether he has an attorney. He does not have a listed home telephone number.
