(KMOV) – Artists have occupied vacant store lots inside Crestview Court, formerly Crestwood Mall, for years, but the owners will be asked to leave by February 28 so the next phase in the new development can begin.
Developers plan to create an entertainment complex in place of the mall which will include a state-of-the-art movie theater. The theater is expected to take the place of the lot where Dillards was located.
Chicago-based Centrum Properties has told News 4 that they plan on demolishing part of the former mall by this summer and will “steer away from a traditional mall.”
City of Crestwood officials did not return any calls regarding the plan.
