Nine injured after car, school bus collide in north St. Louis

ST. LOUIS (KMOV) – Nine people were injured in an accident involving a car and a school bus Monday afternoon in north St. Louis, officials say.

The accident happened at 20th and Salisbury streets when a car and bus collided just after 2:30 p.m. The car reportedly ignored a stop sign on 20th Street.

There were five children and one adult on the school bus. Three children aboard the bus along with the driver were taken to an area hospital with minor injuries.

The car was carrying three adults and two children. All five were taken to the hospital. One of the adults in the car has serious injuries.

The bus was transporting students from Compton-Drew Middle School in west St. Louis.
