(FootballStL) -- St. Louis Rams running back Steven Jackson had 17 carries for 45 yards against the Washington Redskins on Sunday which is a major increase from only rushing four times last week.

Last Sunday, Jackson returned from a quadriceps injury after missing the previous game and the majority of the season-opener when he suffered the injury.

Jackson was also the only Ram to have a rushing attempt on Sunday.

Jackson also caught four passes for 19 yards including a touchdown.  It was his eighth career receiving touchdown and now has 56 career touchdowns.  Jackson has the fifth most touchdowns in Rams history.
