Former foster parent sentenced for molestation

 ST. LOUIS (AP) -- A suburban St. Louis man has been sentenced to five years in prison for molesting a foster child.
   Fifty-year-old Michael Patterson of Florissant was convicted in July of first-degree child molestation for touching a 7-year-old girl's genitals through her clothing as she was in bed in 2005.
   Patterson also was accused of inappropriately touching another foster child when she was 12. But the jury found him not guilty in that case.
   The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported that ( ) St. Louis County Circuit Judge Richard C. Bresnahan sentenced Patterson Friday.
   Prosecutors said Patterson and his wife served as foster parents for about two years.
