Motorist crashes in St. Louis after refusing to pull over for police

(KMOV.com) -- A man driving a stolen car with with two women and child inside crashed into another motorist in north St. Louis after he refused to pull over for police.

According to officials, St. Louis County police working in Jennings, Missouri attempted to pull over a the man for traffic violations.  Officers said the driver nearly struck some kids out in front of a Jennings school. 

When police attempted to stop the driver, he did not pull over.  Police followed the vehicle into north St. Louis City where he crashed into a woman in an SUV at the intersection of Goodfellow and Switzer.

The suspect had two women and a child in the car.  All were treated at the scene. The driver of the SUV was taken to an area hospital and is being treated for neck and back injuries.

The suspect was taken into custody at the scene.  Police determined that the car the suspect was driving was stolen.
