(KMOV)-- A man who became trapped in a grain bin at Center Ethanol in Sauget, Illinois has been released from the hospital.
Authorities said around 9 a.m. Thursday, a worker walked into the bin to free some of the grain to be picked up by the auger. This is normal practice so a safety spotter was also on hand which helped notify police quickly.
The 43-year-old man was trapped all the way up to his waist.
Crews were able to rescue him. He was taken to the hospital after the incident, but has since been released.
Crews from both sides of the river helped with the rescue.
