(HockeyStL) -- St. Louis Blues general manager Doug Armstrong made an announcement on Sunday that Blues fans have been waiting to hear for nearly 11 months.

Blues winger David Perron is expected to rejoin the team on Monday.

Perron had missed 72 games last season while dealing with complications from a concussion which he suffered against the San Jose Sharks in November.

Perron had five goals and two assists in ten games before being injured.
