ST. LOUIS (KMOV) - A possible funding cut to public transportation could make it more difficult for some people to get to work on time, and could even cause others to lose their jobs.
MetroLink's ridership is up this year on both buses and trains. A survey shows 75 percent of people who ride public transportation are traveling to or from work. Another 20 percent are going to school.
If there are fewer buses and trains to get people to work, it is estimated that 620,000 people could lose their jobs nationwide.
