(KMOV.com) -- A Metro-East officer is facing multiple charges after police say he illegally accepted benefits from the state of Illinois.
Larry D. Greenlee, 39, was a police officer in East St. Louis when authorities said he collected unemployment benefits from the state of Illinois. Officials allege Greenlee told the state that he was unemployed when he was not. He has been charged with one count of State Benefit Fraud.
Greenlee was also charged with Official Misconduct as a result of the fraud charge. He was arrested on Wednesday and his bond was set at $20,000.
