Rams red zone offense nearly non-existent against Giants

(FootballStL) -- The St. Louis Rams have finally scored a red zone touchdown in 2011.

The Rams were 1 for 4 in red zone attempts against the New York Giants on Monday night.  Their only touchdown in the red zone this season came late in the third quarter on a 19-yard pass from QB Sam Bradford to WR Danario Alexander to make the score 28-16.  The Rams had to settle for three field goals from K Josh Brown.

Bradford finished the game with 22 completions from 46 attempts with a career-high 331 passing yards.

Alexander caught three passes for 122 yards including a 68-yard reception in the first quarter.  It was Alexander’s first career 100-plus yard game.
