(FootballStL) -- The New York Giants were unsure if WR Hakeem Nicks (knee) and DE Justin Tuck (neck) were going to be able to play Monday night against the St. Louis Rams (0-2). Not only did they play, but they were crucial in the Giants’ 28-16 victory against the Rams.
Nicks caught only three passes for 15 yards despite being thrown to seven times. His 1st quarter touchdown reception put the Giants ahead in the game 7-3 at the time. The Giants never trailed after Nicks’ touchdown.
Tuck, who sat out last week against the Washington Redskins, was able to get to Rams QB Sam Bradford three times including 1.5 sacks. Two of his five tackles were for loss.
