ST. LOUIS (KMOV) -- Two men have been charged after police said they robbed a bank on Monday afternoon in south St. Louis.
Authorities said the two men robbed the Commerce Bank in the 6300 block of Chippewa. According to reports, the suspects fled the scene on foot after obtaining an undisclosed amount of money.
Police were able to nab one suspect near the bank. The other suspect ran from police, but was later found in a residential area in the 3500 block of South Spring Street.
The money was later found along McDonald Avenue. Officers also recovered guns.
The Circuit Attorney's Office issued warrants against the two suspect on Tuesday in connection with the robbery. Terrill Davis, 33, from St. Louis was charged with 1st Degree Robbery, Armed Criminal Action and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm. His bond has been set at $150,000, cash only.
The other suspect, Rasheen Johnson, 34, from St. Louis, was charged with 1st Degree Robbery, Armed Criminal Action, Resisting/Interfering with Arrest, Unlawful Use of a Weapon and 2 counts of Unlawful Possession of a Weapon. Johnson's bond has been set at $350,000, cash only.
