East Alton man charged with child pornography, trial date set

(KMOV)--Authorities announced Friday that a trial date has been set for an East Alton man charged with child pornography. 
 
Hal Dean McBride, 43, is being charged with enticement, receipt of child pornography, accessing child pornography with intent to view, and transfer of obscene matter to a minor.
 
Authorities believe the violations took place around November 2009 through August 2010.

McBride’s trial is scheduled to begin on April 25th, in East St. Louis.
 
If convicted on enticement, McBride faces a term of imprisonment of not less than ten years, nor more than imprisonment for his entire life, a $250,000 fine, and a term of supervised release of not less than five years to life; on receipt of child pornography, a term of imprisonment of not less than five years but no more than 20 years of imprisonment, a $250,000 fine, and a term of supervised release of not less than five years to life; on accessing child pornography with intent to view, a term of imprisonment of not more than years, a $250,000 fine, or both, and a term of supervised release of not less than five years to life; on transfer of obscene matter to a minor, a term of imprisonment of not more than ten years, a $250,000 fine, or both, and a term of supervised release of not more than three years.
