(KMOV)-- Police are searching for two suspects accused of robbing a convenience store in Collinsville Sunday night.
The Madison County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call from an employee at the Trading Post Convenience Store at 8907 Collinsville Road.
The clerks told authorities that two male came into the store and demanded money. One of the men was armed with some type of handgun. The clerk complied and the two exited the store on foot running in an eastern direction with an undisclosed amount of cash from the business.
Both men are described as white males, with thin to medium builds. Both were wearing gray hoodies and blue jeans. Both suspects had bandanas covering their faces. One suspect had a light green bandana. The other suspect had a black bandana on his face. One of the suspects also had a two tone blue “Billabong” jacket tied around his waste.
The jacket and the black bandana were later recovered in a dumpster near Kreitner Elementary School, which is located just north of the Trading Post.
