EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. (AP) -- Kevin Murphy scored 18 points and Jud Dillard had 12 points and 10 rebounds to lead Tennessee Tech to a 92-69 victory against Southern Illinois-Edwardsville Tuesday night.
Five Golden Eagles scored in double figures. Zac Swansey had 13 points and Alfred Jones and Dennis Ogbe scored 11 points apiece for Tennessee Tech (17-11), which has won four in a row. The Golden Eagles made 69 percent of their shots from the field, scoring 62 points in the paint.
Cornelius Chatt led all scorers with 30 points for SIU-Edwardsville (7-21). The loss dropped the Cougars to 0-8 against Ohio Valley Conference teams. They will play a full regular-season schedule in the Ohio Valley next year and be eligible for the conference's postseason tournament in 2012-13.
