(KMOV) -- A teenager was fatally wounded after police said men opened fire on a group of four people in south St. Louis.
The shooting happened around 7 p.m. Sunday evening at Compton and Dakota near Mt. Pleasant Park.
Authorities said a 16-year-old girl was standing on the sidewalk talking to friends when a group of men came around the corner and began shooting. The teen was taken to St. Louis University Hospital where she later died. Nobody else was injured.
Police said it is unclear how many shooters there were, but witnesses state seeing two or three men.
Police do not have any suspects in custody at this time.
