The Cardinals are in Jupiter, Florida for spring training. Our own Brian Feldman is in the middle of all the action. Brian will provide constant updates, so check back through the day for the very latest news.

Feb. 20, 10: 39 a.m. - Heard a fan say this. "Who is the SS this year? Khalil Greene?"

Feb. 20, 10:37 a.m. - Motte very animated on the mound. Yells at himself after every pitch.

Feb. 20, 10:31 a.m. - Jason Motte warming up in the bullpen. Throwing to Albert, Holliday and Berkman among others.

Feb. 20, 10:24 a.m. - Cleto will begin as a starter but Vuch admits he'll probably end up in the bullpen. Sits 95-96 mph but hits 100 on occasion.

Feb. 20, 10:20 a.m. - Zack Cox (2010 1st round pick) at the plate. Took all but two pitches versus Cleto. Whiffed on the two he swung at.

Feb. 20, 10:16 a.m. - First round of live BP starting now. Mikel Cleto throwing on the mound. John Vuch tells me he's likely to start in high-A Palm Beach. Maybe Springfield depending on how March goes.

Feb. 20, 10:02 a.m. - Dave McKay working closely with all the outfielders on their footwork.

Feb. 20, 9:55 a.m. - All outfielders lightly tossing balls in during drills. AdronChambers, meanwhile, throwing lasers.

Feb. 20, 9:49 a.m. - Schumaker, Greene, Descalso and Vasquez working at 2nd right now. Kozma, Solano and Theriot at SS.

Feb. 20, 9:39 a.m. - I like Stavinoha but he doesn't look like much of a catcher throwing. Arm is not even close to others in camp to the naked eye.

Feb. 20, 9:37 a.m. - Nick Stavinoha working with Laird, Molina and Matheny on throwing down
to third base.

Feb. 20, 9:27 a.m. - Tony says Cards have tried to get Miguel Batista the last 6 or 7 years because he has experience "doing everything".

Feb. 20, 9:21 a.m. - There is a Player's Association meeting tomorrow and Tony does not believe they will they will say something to him. Thinks they've got bigger and more important things to deal with.

Feb. 20, 9:18 a.m. - Tony says its still too early to determine whether Colby will be a guy who strikes out a lot. Has a ton of talent though.

Feb. 20, 9:15 a.m. - Sometimes the winning play is just putting the ball in play. That's what TLR says about guys like Rasmus trying to cut down on strikeouts.

Feb. 20, 9:13 a.m. - Tony wants Colby Rasmus to have same approach no matter where he's hitting in the lineup. Whether its 2, 5 or 6. Needs to take tough ABs. That's what matters most.

Feb. 20, 9:11 a.m. - Final bullpen spot is Miguel Batista's "to lose" according to Tony.

Feb. 20, 9:10 a.m. - Tony says Lance Lynn is trying to showcase himself to Duncan and the staff that his command is better and his stuff is good enough. Was inconsistent in Spring Last year.

Feb. 20, 8:54 a.m. - A tad overcast right now. Looks like some rain could be on the way here.

Feb. 20, 8:49 a.m. - Originally I thought this was a little early for live BP to start...but apparently a week before games begin is when that normally kicks off.

Feb. 20, 8:29 a.m. - Talked to Skip Schumaker in a 1-on-1. Said he's ready to get past his "down" year of 2010. Knows he's better than that.

Feb. 20, 8:19 a.m. -  Skip Schumaker: I get Trever Miller on the first day? Really? (Live BP begins today)

Feb. 20, 6:56 a.m. - Back at it for week 2 of Spring Training. Insanely foggy right now. Can barely see.
