The Cardinals in Jupiter, Florida for spring training. Our own Brian Feldman is in the middle of all the action. Brian will provide constant updates, so check back through the day for the very latest news.

Feb. 17, 10:18 a.m. - Talked informally with Albert. Says he always gains muscle during the season. He's 231 lbs now but wants to start the year at 235. Easier to train to during the actual season he says.

Feb. 17, 10:05 a.m. - Surprised that a good amount of the national media is still here. The story's over guys. Not much else to do regarding Albert.

Feb. 17, 9:53 a.m. - Holliday signing autographs too.

Feb. 17, 9:39 a.m. - Albert and Holliday taking bp right now. Lots of loud cracks and hard hit balls. Man these guys are strong.

Feb. 17, 9:21 a.m. - Albert stopped to sign several autographs for fans. Very good mood today. Extremely talkative.

Feb. 17, 9:06 a.m. - Fans yell to Albert "welcome back". Albert responds "I never went anywhere".

Feb. 17, 9:04 a.m. - Great to see Albert working with Zack Cox, Allen Craig and Matt Carpenter on how to play, yes, 3rd base. Giving tips on fielding grounders.

Feb. 17, 8:54 a.m. - Waiting for Albert to come out and hit. Will post pictures once photo ops are there.

Feb. 17, 8:51 a.m. - John Smoltz here working for the MLB Network. Just talked to Wainwright, Carpenter, Garcia, Westbrook and Lohse.

Feb. 17, 8:37 a.m. - Tony addressed the media as well like he does every morning. Says one of the greatest things about Albert is how you will not see a difference this year even though its a contract year.

Feb. 17, 8:23 a.m. - Albert says only him, his agent, Mozeliak, DeWitt and his wife truly know all the numbers and details. Everyone else is way off. Nothing reported has been even close to accurate.

Feb. 17, 8:21 a.m. - Albert said the way Derek Jeter's negotiations were made so public had a lot to do with his silence. Doesn't want a repeat of that.

Feb. 17, 8:19 a.m. - Albert just talked for about 25 minutes. Handled it extremely well. Says its all just negotiations and will not go through the media.

Feb. 17, 7:42 a.m. - Clubhouse meeting starts at 9:20 eastern while stretching and conditioning begins 10 minutes after.

Feb. 17, 7:39 a.m. - Carpenter, Lohse and Trever Miller throwing 'pens first. Boggs, Motte and Batista in 2nd group. Lots of PFP (pitcher's fielding practice) as well like normal.

Feb. 17, 7:22 a.m. - Albert is in the house. Dropped off some things and then disappeared. Word is he will talk at some point.
