(KMOV) -- Two men have been charged with cutting and stealing nearly 200 feet of copper telephone wires from telephone poles in Godfrey, Illinois.
Authorities say Zachary Allen, 24, and Brian Schaake, 28, were arrested during a traffic stop after the sheriff’s deputy found the copper phone wires and tools to cut the wires in their truck.
Both men were taken to the Madison County Jail where they were held pending formal charges.
Allen and Schaake are currently on parole from the Illinois Department of Corrections.
The bond for the two men was set at $25,000.
