Smokers who quit reduce risk of developing ALS

(KMOV) – A new study finds that smoking cigarettes could lead to ALS.  

Researchers analyzed data from more than a million patients and found current and former smokers increased their chance of developing the muscle-wasting disease by more than 40 percent.

ALS, or Lou Gherig’s disease, has no cure.
