SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (AP) -- A 3-year-old boy who was missing since Oct. 18 is back at home in southwest Missouri with his mother.
Springfield police say Bernard Rheaves was reunited Sunday with his mother, 23-year-old Britnay Cavazos.
Cavazos reported in October that the boy's father took him out of the state. She did not think the boy was in danger and police have been working with her to find the boy.
The boy's father, 27-year-old Bernard Rheaves, is jailed in Los Angeles on child abduction charges out of Greene County.
The Springfield News-Leader reports that online records from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department show he was arrested Thursday by U.S. marshals.
