The Cardinals are arriving in Jupiter, Florida for the beginning of spring training. Our own Brian Feldman is on hand to welcome the players. Brian will provide constant updates, so check back through the day for the very latest news.

Feb. 13, 10:15 a.m.  Zack Cox back on the field... now doing agility drills. High stepping over cones. Nice to see from the 1st round pick who commanded more than $3 million in signing bonus.

Feb. 13, 9:34 a.m.  Tony says he expects other players and coaches to respect the privacy of Albert and his family during these negotiations. He says he hopes no one will comment on it. They're there to focus on baseball.

Feb. 13, 9:32 a.m.  Talked to Tony for about 20-30 minutes along with media. Says there are 2 prime reasons he's come up with on why the team underachieved in 2010. He won't say what they are but they will be worked on constantly in spring training.

Feb. 13, 8:51 a.m.  Tony La Russa has arrived. Repeat... the skipper is in Jupiter.

Feb. 13, 8:06 a.m.  Zack Cox working privately with Jose Oquendo on Field 1. At 3rd base of course.

Feb. 13, 7:59 a.m.  Just talked with Red Schoendienst. One of the first guys here in spring training. He says it's year 67 for him!

Feb. 13, 7:46 a.m.  Zack Cox in his gear as the very first person on the field today. Stretching and warming up all by himself.

Feb. 13, 7:34 a.m.  Greetings from Jupiter! Waiting for players to arrive at Roger Dean right now. Pretty slow so far for the official report date.
