(KMOV) – More office spaces are being leased in St. Louis as new tech companies move into vacant buildings.
CBRE says it’s not just new tech companies that are moving to vacant buildings, but many established St. Louis companies as well.
“Those companies are still more in the start-up phase and haven’t created a lot of jobs yet,” said Ripp Hardin of CBRE. “But really the stronger players for St. Louis have been the healthcare, financial services, and some of our core industries.”
CBRE says in 2013, the vacancy rate was 17% and has dropped to 15% for the region.
