(KMOV) -- Meteorologist Kristen Cornett says isolated strong storms have developed along a cold front south of the St. Louis Metro Area this evening. Cornett says these storms are below severe limits but an isolated severe storm is possible with a threat of damaging winds.  In the meantime, expect heavy rain, lots of lightning, small hail and gusty winds where these storms develop.

Across the remaining area, scattered showers and storms are moving through, but these storms are not expected to become strong.
