(KMOV) – Illinois Secretary of State Jesse White has suspended the license of the man accused of a hit-and-run that killed a woman in June.

Johnathan Nast, 25, has been charged with the death 23-year-old Lana Albert after he hit her with her truck in Breese, Illinois and then tried to sell his truck to a scrap yard.

White has suspended Nast’s license saying Nast is a danger to road safety. Nast is still awaiting trial for Albert’s death, but is free on bond.

The suspension begins Sunday.
