ST. LOUIS (KMOV) – The Environmental Protection Agency is telling local residents in north St. Louis that there’s no real health risk in the areas surrounding the Carter Carburetor building, a superfund site.
Surrounding areas include the Herbert Hoover Boys and Girls Club across the street from the building.
The EPA says there’s no significant “off-site” contamination.
The government is still working on a plan to clean off the site that’s been vacant for 25 years.
