(KMOV)—St. Louis City and area first responders conducted an emergency response exercise at the Scottrade Center on Sunday afternoon.
The St. Louis Regional First Responders hosted the exercise on the southwest corner of 14th Street and Clark Avenue at 10 a.m.
The exercise gave the region's first responders the opportunity to test their ability to work together to manage a larger emergency event, as well as improving reaction time in saving lives.
According to the Director of Public Safety, it’s important to conduct these drills so that in the event of a major disaster , the agencies involved will work together smoothly based on what they learn during these drills.
This exercise is similar to the emergency preparedness drill that was held at Busch Stadium in August of 2006.
