(KMOV) -- MoDOT has announced three separate road closures beginning Friday, August 5.
The closures will take place on Highways 94, 270 and 140 due to construction.
Construction will begin on Route 94 in St. Charles County on Friday, August 5 as a part of the Route 364 upgrade project. The traffic shifts will take place between the morning and evening rush. Traffic on Central Road North will be placed on newly constructed concrete on the west side of Central School Road. One lane in each direction will be able to get through between Route 94 and St. Peters Howell Road. Traffic at the intersection at Route 94 will remain the same.
MoDOT will close two of its four lanes on southbound Interstate 270 beginning Friday, August 5 through Monday, August 8. One lane of southbound I-270 will close at 8 p.m Friday, August 5. A second lane of southbound I-270 will close at 9 p.m the same day. Crews will have temporary lane closures on southbound I-270 between I-44 and Gravois Road (Route 30) this weekend for bridge rehabilitation. All southbound lanes of I-270 are scheduled to reopen by 5 a.m Monday, August 8.
During the I-270 lane closures, MoDOT advises drivers to use Route 141 or Lindbergh Blvd as alternatives.
MoDOT also plans to close lanes on IL-140 near Old Ripley starting Friday, August 5 at 6am until Monday, August 8 at 6pm. One lane of traffic will be maintained through the construction zone. This closure is due to road resurfacing.
