CHICAGO (AP) -- Just back from visiting U.S. troops in Iraq and Afghanistan, Gov. Pat Quinn has ways Illinoisans can help military families.
Quinn wants citizens to donate their unused frequent flier airline miles so military families can visit their injured loved ones around the globe.
He'll talk about Operation Hero Miles at a Thursday press conference, Quinn's first public appearance since returning from his trip abroad.
Quinn left Friday for the trip that also included a stop in Germany.
It will be a busy first day back for Quinn.
The governor will also greet President Barack Obama at the airport when he returns to Chicago for a fundraiser.
