(KMOV.com) -- Coming off a dreadful road loss to Kansas State on Wednesday, the Tigers return home Saturday to face the Baylor Bears.
Both Baylor and Missouri have spent time in the national Top 25 rankings this season. The Bears are coming off a 78-72 loss to Texas on Tuesday.
Baylor is led by guards Curtis Jerrells and LaceDarius Dunn, who are both averaging 17
points a game. Forward Kevin Rogers, along with guards Henry Dugat and Tweety Carter, are also averaging double digits in scoring.
Baylor is 15-5 overall but just 3-3 in the Big 12. Before playing Texas on Tuesday, the Bears lost to the Sooners in Oklahoma last Saturday. With their game in Columbia on Saturday, a case could be made that Baylor has to take on the three best teams in the big 12 in three consecutive games. Kansas would likely disagree.
Mizzou needs to only sell 200 more tickets for the game to be a sell-out, according to their website. The Tigers are gunning for their 15th consecutive home victory, dating back to last season.
Tipoff is scheduled for 5 p.m. Saturday. Fans are encouraged to wear black and "black out" Mizzou Arena.
