St. Louis Rams punter Donnie Jones leads the NFC in net average, but he's coming off a rough game.
The left-footed Jones averaged 41.2 yards on six attempts in Sunday's 23-20 overtime loss at Jacksonville. That's more than five yards off his 46.6-yard average, with only one downed inside the opponents' 20.
For the season, Jones is averaging a net of 41.9 yards on his punts.
Coach Steve Spagnuolo believes stiff winds affected Jones' performance against the Jaguars. Spagnuolo said he has no concerns about Jones this week when the Rams are back home and indoors against the unbeaten Indianapolis Colts.
Jones averaged a franchise-record 50 yards per punt last season, breaking his own mark of 47.2 yards in 2007.
