Metro-East woman killed in early morning rollover crash

CLINTON COUNTY, Ill. (KMOV.com) -- A Pocahontas, Illinois woman is dead after her vehicle left the roadway, then rolled over early Saturday morning.

Police say Camille Rose Schuette, 34, was the sole occupant of a 2002 Ford Explorer traveling on Jametown Road just south of Pocahontas, Illinois, when the vehicle left the road. While trying to reenter the road, the vehice rolled over and Schuette was ejected.

Emergency crews were called to the scene at 6:15 a.m. Schuette was then transported to St. Joseph Hospital in Highland, Illinois, where she was pronounced dead just after 7 a.m.

According to police, Schuette was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

The crash remains under investigation by the Clinton County Sheriff's Department.

Funeral arrangements are pending.
