GODFREY, Ill. (KMOV.com) – An Alton woman is facing a felony charge for stealing after police say she tried to leave a Walmart store without paying for her merchandise.
Police said they responded to the Walmart store in the 6600 block of Godfrey Road in Godfrey, Illinois around 5 p.m. in reference to the theft. Upon arrival, they found Haley L. Duckett, 33, with approximately $70 worth of merchandise in her purse. A loss prevention officer at the store detained Duckett until police arrived.
After determining the suspect had not paid for the merchandise, police took her into custody.
