Mizzou game vs. Alabama to air on CBS

COLUMBIA, Mo. (Missouri Football App) -- Many Mizzou students and fans have had October 13 circled on their calendars since the 2012 Missouri Tigers football schedule was released.  It’s been announced that the Missouri Tigers will play the current #1 ranked Alabama Crimson Tide on national TV.

The Southeastern Conference has announced that CBS will broadcast the game to a national TV audience.  Kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m. at Faurot Field in Columbia, Missouri.

Students around campus are waiting anxiously for this game against one of the most historic football programs in the country.

“To be broadcasted nationally is definitely a nice change for Mizzou,” said sophomore Joey Kindig.   “And personally I love the earlier start time because your whole day won't revolve around the game. As long as the weather holds up I think a lot of fans will enjoy a true SEC football experience of playing during the day."

The last time Mizzou played a #1 ranked team at home was in 2010 against the Oklahoma Sooners.  Many fans remember that crazy game and rushing the field.  People hope for a close game against the reigning national champion and currently ranked #1 Alabama Crimson Tide.
