(KMOV) – News 4 followed up after received new complaints about a north city car lot with the latest complaint coming from Texas.

News 4 has been investigating Exclusive Imports for more than a year and now more people are learning they can’t drive their new car because of trouble with their title.

Sharon McKinney wishes she would’ve have looked elsewhere after her BMW broke down not long after she purchased it. Little did she know, the biggest issue with her car would turn out to be something no mechanic could fix.

“No one had paid any taxes on it or anything. The dealer numbers were missing, the addresses. things like that,” McKinney said.

She was not the first person to complain to News 4 about this car lot in St. Louis.  Before it was Exclusive Imports, it was called Top Quality Auto Consultants.

Patresa Parker claims she was also scammed at this lot.

The then owner, Tadarrell Qualls told Parker she’d have her title in 30 days. 30 months later, she still didn’t have it.

In Texas, McKinney said Qualls isn’t willing to make things right.

“He said there's nothing wrong with your title. I told you before it's yours,  you bought it. I don't have anything to do with it. it yours."

News 4’s Mike Colombo went to Exclusive Imports to get answers although Qualls was nowhere to be found but his wife, LaTashia was there.

LaTashia told Colombo she was the general manager and said her husband TaDarrell isn’t affiliated wit the business.

McKinney is adamant that’s not true, she said TaDarrelll Qualls sold her the car and signed someone else’s name on the title.

LaTashia said  “it's just an allegation,no truth to that at all.”

“People need to know that this man is a fraud. there's got to be a reason you can't sign your name to a legal document,” McKinney said.

It is now up to the judge to decide although it will not be the first time these parties will meet in the courtroom. A judge ruled in favor of the car lot in an earlier small claims decision related to the case.
