(KMOV)-- A St. Louis man was charged with robbing a house and stealing a car in St. Louis County.
Thomas S. Calloway, 27, was charged with Robbery in the First Degree and Burglary in the First Degree.
Police responded to the 2600 block of Deloak Drive for a report of a home invasion and robbery around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday. The male homeowner stated that the suspect, later identified as Thomas Calloway, first knocked on his door but then forced his way into his apartment and demanded money.
The victim stated that the suspect ransacked his apartment and left with his telephone and the keys to his black 1993 Cadillac CTS.
An officer saw the stolen vehicle traveling northbound on Highway 55. The officer stopped the Cadillac CTS and arrested the only occupant of the vehicle, Thomas Calloway. The stolen vehicle and telephone were returned to the victim.
Calloway is being held on a $50,000 bond.
