(KMOV) – Motorists may be upset over the new speed cameras in Charlack, but the Missouri Department of Transportation says they may actually be dangerous.
The problem is the white squares painted on the pavement to calibrate the cameras.
MoDOT says any markings on the highway can pose a danger for drivers.
The city thought they were legal markings, but they are actually illegal.
The city now has until the end of next week to remove the painted squares.
