(KMOV) -- A stretch of busy Lindbergh Boulevard in south St. Louis county has received a fitting name change.

Lindbergh from Lemay Ferry Road to Barracksview Road is now known as the "Dave Sinclair Memorial Highway."

Sinclair is a St. Louis automotive icon who delivered sales pitches from behind his signature podium for decades.  He ended most commercials with the tag line "thank you and here's my address."

Sinclair died in September 2009 after battling several recurrences of cancer.  He was 81 years old.

The Missouri legislature approved the renaming in Sinclair's honor earlier this year.
