Two women arrested in Atlanta in connection with ATM truck heist

(KMOV)-- Two women were arrested and over $700,000 was found in connection with an ATM truck heist in St. Louis last month.

Keisha Welch and Latunya Wright are charged in federal court with knowingly transporting stolen currency.

According to court documents, two woman drove from St. Louis to Atlanta on August 25th to rent a storage locker. The FBI was tipped off by an unnamed source who was with the women.

News 4 learned Latunya Wright asked the unnamed source in this case to help her move a large plastic container from the trunk of a rental car into the back of a Hummer. The source called the FBI and gave them permission to search the Atlanta storage locker where the Hummer was parked.
   

Welch allegedly told the source there was $760,000 stuffed in the vehicle.

The money is connected to the ATM Solutions robbery in St. Louis, when four masked individuals armed with weapons stormed into the facility and $9 million.

John Wesley Jones has already been arrested in the case. According to court documents, he is the boyfriend of Latunya Wright.
