FRIDAY’S games:

Valle Catholic (4-0) @ Crystal City (2-2)
The Warriors travel to Crystal for a Mississippi Area Blue Conference game.  Ranked #1 in class 1, Valle has allowed just 6 points in the 2010 year while averaging over 51ppg! Many are already comparing this team to some of the State Champions of the 90’s at Valle. They are talented and very deep across the board. Crystal will be opening league play this week. QB Nic Rothweiler  is 20 of 30 passing for the year and will need to keep up that level to challenge these mighty Warriors.

Parkway West (1-3)  @  Parkway Central (3-1)
The high scoring Colts host an  the Longhorns of West in a Suburban South game.  Central has piled up plenty of points on the scoreboard in 2010. They are averaging 42 ppg including an impressive 58-39 win over U City last week. The ground game controlled the tempo as the Colts ran for 44 carries in their punishing 274 rushing yards. West broke into the win column last week as they pummeled Seckman 56-21. Charles Thomas had a career day with 219 yards, 4 touchdown in only 5 carrie ! Three of his scores were over 65 yards! These intra-district always bring lots of emotion, excitement and thrills.

Bishop DuBourg (1-3)  @ St Mary’s (2-2)
The Battle for the “wooden Shoes” showing the supremacy of South St Louis takes place at St. Marys in an Archdiocesan Athletic Association game. The Dragons are coming off a tough 21-11 defeat to undefeated St. Dominic.  Offensively St Marys’ has their spread offense engineered by Will Ruzicka (622 yards passing and  321 rushing) while Sean Dunn leads the Dragon defensive corp.  DuBourg is coming off a 29-21 victory over Lutheran St. Charles as they broke the tie and scored the winning TD with only 2:21 remaining in the game. Aaron Wittman has crossed the goal line 5 times during his 461 rushing yards.

Howell North (1-3)   @ Oakville (1-3)
In a non-league contest, Oakville hosts Howell North. The North Knights erupted for 35 points last week to upend Ft Zumwalt South 35-14. QB Clint Toedtman has over 750 total yards of offense to lead the way. Terron Givans heads up the Knights defense. The Tigers QB Javon Henderson leads the team in rushing as well as passing. Moe Legrand and Brett Carrigan will lead the Tigers they will work to throttle the Knights offense.
