ST. LOUIS (AP) -- St. Louis Rams defensive tackle Clifton Ryan, who missed last week's game because of migraine headaches, was held out of practice.
Coach Steve Spagnuolo said Wednesday the team was awaiting results of medical tests from a second opinion. He was hopeful Ryan would return to practice Thursday.
Safety Craig Dahl also was held out after sustaining a concussion in a helmet-to-helmet hit with Raiders running back Darren McFadden.
Dahl, who had a concussion last year, said he was still a little light-sensitive. Spagnuolo said Dahl had passed all tests thus far and could return to practice on Friday.
Wide receiver Laurent Robinson (foot) was limited, and Brandon Gibson and rookie Mardie Gilyard got snaps with the first string.
Rookie tight end Fendi Onobun, a sixth-round pick who played only one season of college football at Houston, also took snaps with the starters. Billy Bajema (knee) and Michael Hoomanawanui (ankle) are both out, and Onobun expects to make his debut on Sunday against the Redskins.
